                  | "Spinningfields
is a pretty quiet place so when my husband and I went mid
week for an evening meal we were pleased to find that Ha Ha
Bar and Grill had a lovely atmosphereand,
even with only a few people eating, it didn't seem that empty.
The waitress who served us was so full of life that she made
the evening feel much more special. It's so refreshing to
have good, enthusiastic service! We ordered
the Nachos starter to share (£7.95) and this was fantastic.
Huge, freshly cooked spicy nachos smothered in cheese, guacamole,
salsa and sour cream. This had to be one of the best
nacho dishes we've ever had! The main meals
unfortunately were a little bland by comparison.
I had the Lemon & Garlic Chicken with skinny chips (£11.75).
This had very little in the way of garlic or lemon flavour
and the skinny chips were decidedly chunky. My husband had
the Chicken & Chorizo Tortiglioni (£9.95), which
again was just OK, nothing to make you want to go
back again. Although we would go back for a quick
plate of nachos at lunchtime, we won't be rushing back for
anything more unless they improve the mains."

                  | "I
know Spinningfields appears to be struggling for custom and
this was completely obvious on my visit to Ha Ha on Saturday
lunchtime. So, being quiet you would expect that the
chef would be able to take his time and cook the food properly.
This wasn't the case. I ordered the Chicken & Chorizo
Salad and, after a few mouth fulls, cut into a larger piece
of chicken to find that it was raw inside. Surely, the
first thing you learn at chef school is that not cooking food
properly can potentially make somebody very very ill! The
waitress looked horrified, as did the chef to be fair, but
I still don't think that, in this day and age, it is acceptable
to serve raw food. I was given a freshly cooked salad which
was very tasty but I still had to pay the full price
(£9.75). I was offered a free dessert and, when I declined,
got a free glass of house wine as a peace offering. Thankfully
I didn't get food poisoning. Not recommend."
